Objectives

The research objectives are

  1. to develop various synthesis strategies to design new porous materials including zeolites, mesoporous silica and oxides, and metal-organic frameworks.
  2. to develop electron microscopy (SEM and TEM) and X-ray diffraction techniques for observation and characterization of nanoporous and nanostructured materials. Atomic structures of perfect crystals, crystals containing defects, crystal surfaces and crystal interfaces will be studied. We will support other areas in terms of providing new porous materials and help with structure characterization.
