Porous ceramics with deeper hierarchical heterogeneities. 2015.

Objectives:

• Develop porous ceramics with deeper hierarchical heterogeneities;

• Understand the densification mechanism of porous ceramics.

• Investigate the chemical, thermal and mechanical properties of the developed porous ceramics with deeper heterogeneities;

• Understand the correlation of properties with processing conditions and microstructure evolution of porous ceramics with deeper hierarchical heterogeneities ;

• Evaluate and explore the potential application of low cost porous ceramics, i.e. high temperature particle filters and solar receiver.
